Depart Nairobi after an early breakfast and travel south towards Amboseli National Park. On arrival, check in at your lodge or camp and enjoy lunch.

In the afternoon, head into the park to explore the open plains and wetlands. Look out for elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes and other wildlife, with Mount Kilimanjaro providing a spectacular backdrop if conditions are favorable.

Enjoy an early-morning game drive, when the light can be excellent for photography and Kilimanjaro may be visible before clouds gather. Explore the park's swamp areas, which attract elephants and other animals, and search the open plains for predators and grazing herds. Continue with a full-day game drive and picnic lunch, or return to the lodge during the hottest hours before heading out again in the afternoon.
