Day 01 :

Nairobi – Amboseli National Park

Your 8-day Kenya safari starts with a pick up from your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and drive through the scenic landscapes of the open plains of Kajiado County as you make your way to Amboseli National Reserve. Check in at your lodge or camp with lunch before refreshing. After a short rest head out for an evening game drive across the vast Amboseli plains, renowned for their large elephant herds set against the dramatic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Return to your lodge/camp at sunset for dinner and overnight stay surrounded by the peaceful sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 02 :

Full Day in Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive in Amboseli National Park to witness predators and grazers as they become active at sunrise, with the majestic snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro just across the border in Tanzania providing a breathtaking backdrop. The 8 days Kenya Safari at Amboseli is famous for its large herds of elephants with impressive long tusks, often seen marching gracefully across the open plains. Enjoy your packed picnic lunch with a scenic backdrop at the viewpoint of Mount Kilimanjaro where you can view the park at a 360-degree angle with swamps below a perfect spot for photography before descending to continue to explore Amboseli’s rich wildlife, including elephants, lions, cheetahs, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and an incredible variety of bird species. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 03 :

Amboseli – Aberdares National Park

After breakfast, check out and drive north via Nairobi toward the lush central highlands for at least 6 hours drive. Arrive in Aberdares National Park, a region known for its cool climate, dense forests, and abundant wildlife. Check in at your lodge with lunch at Treetops Lodge, uniquely built overlooking a floodlit waterhole and salt lick. Spend the evening relaxing and watching animals such as elephants, buffaloes, bushbucks, and even elusive leopards visiting the waterhole. Dinner and overnight at the lodge, where the wilderness feels close and intimate.

Day 04 :

Aberdares – Ol Pejeta Conservancy

After breakfast, check out and drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, located between the foothills of the Aberdares and Mount Kenya. Arrive at Ol Pejeta and check in at your camp or lodge with lunch. After a short rest, enjoy an evening game drive. This world-renowned private reserve is celebrated for its conservation success, hosting East Africa’s largest black rhino population and being home to the last two northern white rhinos on earth. Visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only one of its kind in Kenya, providing refuge for rescued chimpanzees. Keep an eye out for the Big Five and other species such as giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge or camp.

Day 05 :

Ol Pejeta – Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, check out at your lodge/camp and enjoy a scenic drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, a picturesque gem renowned for its shimmering lake surrounded by rocky escarpments and acacia forests. Arrive at your camp or lodge/camp, check in with lunch. After a short rest, embark on an evening game drive around the lake, famous for its flamingos, pelicans, and rhinos. You’ll also have a chance to spot Rothschild’s giraffes, leopards, lions, and numerous bird species. Return to your lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 06 :

Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, set off for the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve, enjoying the scenic drive across the rugged landscape. Arrive in the Mara at your lodge or camp, check in with lunch. After a short rest, head out for your first evening game drive. Lake Nakuru is a beautiful soda lake renowned for its incredible birdlife and is considered one of the best bird-watching destinations in Kenya. Over 450 species of birds have been recorded here, including pelicans, cormorants, herons, and in the right season thousands of pink flamingos that create a spectacular pink hue along the lake’s shores. The park is also a sanctuary for endangered species and one of the best places in Kenya to see both black and white rhinos. As you explore, keep an eye out for tree-climbing lions, leopards, buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, warthogs, baboons, and many species of antelope. Return to your lodge/camp in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Full Day in Masai Mara

Masai Mara – Nairobi

Enjoy an early breakfast at the camp/lodge before check out, after which you may choose to take an optional visit to a Masai village for a cultural experience where you will learn about the traditions and lifestyle of the Masai people (extra cost). After the visit, begin your return journey to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon where you will be dropped off at your hotel or airport. This marks the end of your unforgettable 8 days Kenya safari, an adventure filled with breathtaking landscapes, rich culture, and wildlife encounters, including the Wildebeest Migration during the right season, making it one of the most memorable Safaris in Kenya.
