Your 8-day Kenya safari starts with a pick up from your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and drive through the scenic landscapes of the open plains of Kajiado County as you make your way to Amboseli National Reserve. Check in at your lodge or camp with lunch before refreshing. After a short rest head out for an evening game drive across the vast Amboseli plains, renowned for their large elephant herds set against the dramatic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Return to your lodge/camp at sunset for dinner and overnight stay surrounded by the peaceful sounds of the African wilderness.
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive in Amboseli National Park to witness predators and grazers as they become active at sunrise, with the majestic snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro just across the border in Tanzania providing a breathtaking backdrop. Arrive in Aberdares National Park, a region known for its cool climate, dense forests, and abundant wildlife. Check in at your lodge with lunch at Treetops Lodge, uniquely built overlooking a floodlit waterhole and salt lick. Spend the evening relaxing and watching animals such as elephants, buffaloes, bushbucks, and even elusive leopards visiting the waterhole. Dinner and overnight at the lodge, where the wilderness feels close and intimate.
After breakfast, check out and drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, located between the foothills of the Aberdares and Mount Kenya. Arrive at Ol Pejeta and check in at your camp or lodge with lunch. After a short rest, enjoy an evening game drive. This world-renowned private reserve is celebrated for its conservation success, hosting East Africa’s largest black rhino population and being home to the last two northern white rhinos on earth. Lake Nakuru is a beautiful soda lake renowned for its incredible birdlife and is considered one of the best bird-watching destinations in Kenya. Over 450 species of birds have been recorded here, including pelicans, cormorants, herons, and in the right season thousands of pink flamingos that create a spectacular pink hue along the lake’s shores. The park is also a sanctuary for endangered species and one of the best places in Kenya to see both black and white rhinos. As you explore, keep an eye out for tree-climbing lions, leopards, buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, warthogs, baboons, and many species of antelope. Return to your lodge/camp in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
