Overview

Experience unforgettable 3-day Samburu safari. This journey takes you to the spectacular Samburu National Reserve, known for its dramatic landscapes of rugged hills, acacia-dotted plains and the life-giving Ewaso Nyiro River. You will have a chance to spot the Samburu Special Five Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and the long-necked gerenuk alongside elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and abundant birdlife. Enjoy the peaceful, less-crowded atmosphere of Samburu, breathtaking sunrise game drives, and an optional visit to a traditional Samburu village.

Day 01 :

Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve

This 3 day Samburu safari will begin with a pick up from your hotel or Airport in Nairobi. Drive to the northern side of Kenya, passing through lush highlands and farmlands before crossing the equator at Nanyuki, a perfect spot to capture beautiful pictures and memories. As you descend into the semi-arid northern frontier, you’ll notice a striking change in scenery: rugged hills, open plains and scattered acacia trees. Arrive at your lodge or camp, check in with lunch and freshen up. After some rest, head out for your first evening game drive. The Ewaso Nyiro River is the heartbeat of the park, and you are likely to find elephants, crocodiles, and other wildlife gathering to drink. Your guide will help you spot the Samburu Special Five, along with lions resting under shady trees or leopards perched on rocky outcrops. Return to your lodge at sunset for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 02 :

Full Day in Samburu

After breakfast, head out for an early morning game drive, in search of predators as they finish their night hunt and to see the park come alive in the golden morning light. Capture stunning photos of elephants moving in herds, giraffes browsing on treetops, and antelopes grazing against the backdrop of Samburu’s rugged hills. Return to the lodge for a mid-morning rest and a leisurely lunch as you relax and enjoy the camp/lodge’s amenities. Later, embark on an evening game drive, exploring a different section of the reserve when animals are once again active in the cooler hours of the day. This is an excellent time to look out for cheetahs, leopards, and other predators as they prepare to hunt. As the sun sets, soak in the breathtaking views and take stunning photos of the Samburu landscape bathed in golden light.Return to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 03 :

Samburu – Nairobi

After breakfast, check out , enjoy a sunrise morning game drive to catch a last glimpse of the wildlife and perhaps tick off any animals you missed earlier.Optionally you can visit the Masai village and learn about their culture and traditions. Later, begin your scenic drive back to Nairobi. You’ll pass through Isiolo and Nanyuki highway,expected to arrive in Nairobi by late afternoon, with drop-off at your hotel or airport marking the end of a memorable 3 day Samburu safari.
