Day 01 :
Arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
- Arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and check into your accommodation, such as one of the eco-lodges or tented camps located within the park.
- In the afternoon, take a guided nature walk to explore the lush, biodiverse forest and get an introduction to the park’s flora and fauna.
- In the evening, attend a talk by a park ranger or guide to learn more about the mountain gorillas and conservation efforts in Bwindi.
- Spend the rest of the evening relaxing and acclimatizing to the high altitudes.
Day 02 :
Gorilla trekking
- Begin the day with a hearty breakfast before heading out for a gorilla trekking excursion. This activity can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 6 hours, depending on the mobility of the gorilla families.
- Hike through the forest with an experienced guide to locate and spend an hour observing a habituated gorilla family group. This is the highlight of any visit to Bwindi.
- Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated spot within the forest.
- In the afternoon, visit one of the local community projects or cultural sites to learn about the indigenous Batwa people and their relationship with the forest.
Day 03 :
Nature Walk – Kampala
- Start the day with a nature walk in the park, exploring the lush forest and spotting various bird species and plants. This activity can take around 3-4 hours.
- Afternoon: Return to your lodge for lunch and then depart for Kampala, stopping at various points along the way to rest and enjoy the views.
- Evening: Arrive back in Kampala and transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
