Overview
This 10-day Kenya safari itinerary offers an incredible journey through some of the country’s most iconic national parks and landscapes. Starting in Nairobi, you’ll drive to Tsavo East National Park, Kenya’s largest park, known for its vast open plains and easy wildlife viewing. After exploring Tsavo East, the adventure continues to Salt Lick Safari Lodge, a luxurious and photogenic lodge overlooking a busy waterhole in Taita Hills. From there, travel to Tsavo West National Park, a rugged wilderness famed for Mzima Springs and Shetani lava flows. The next stop is Amboseli National Park, renowned for its elephant herds and breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro. The journey then leads to the serene Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake rich in birdlife and hippos. Finally, the trip culminates in the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve, home to the Great Migration and abundant predators, before returning to Nairobi. Each day combines scenic drives, game viewing, and cultural or leisure experiences, with flexible game drive options and comfortable overnight stays at lodges or camps throughout.
Departure by road for Tsavo East National Park, Kenya's largest national park. Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. Tsavo East is an amazing wildlife-watching destination. Although one of Kenya's largest rivers flows through the middle of the park, the scenery is notably flatter and drier than the one at Tsavo West. However, spotting wildlife is much easier thanks to the thinly spread foliage.

Magical Sunsets, Springs & Land Of Lava.
From the sight of fifty million gallons of crystal clear water gushing out of from the under parched lava rock that is the Mzima Springs to the Shetani lava flows, Tsavo West is a beautiful, rugged wilderness. The savannah ecosystem comprises of open grasslands, scrublands, and Acacia woodlands, belts of riverine vegetation and rocky ridges including the Poacher's Lookout where visitors can see the teeming herds in the plains below. Tsavo West offers some of the most magnificent game viewing in the world and attractions include elephant, rhino, Hippos, lions, cheetah, leopards, Buffalos, diverse plant and bird species including the threatened corncrake and near threatened Basra Reed Warbler.

Early morning start and drive to Amboseli National Park, check in at your accommodation, EVENING GAME DRIVE timings agreed with your guide. Amboseli National Park is situated due south of Nairobi. Most of the park consists of a dry, ancient lake bed and fragile grassland with patches of acacia woodland, while in the southern area there is a number of small, rocky, volcanic hills. Around the swamp s Ol Okenya, Ol Tukai and Enkongo Narok, the vegetation is lush with yellow-barked acacias and phoenix palms

An early morning Departure to Lake Naivasha, it is the highest and the most beautiful of the Rif Valley lakes. At 1910m (6200f), the water is fresh and the lake is fringed with dense clumps of papyrus (ancient Egyptian once used this to make paper). Kingfishers use the papyrus as a perch, herons hide in it while searching for food. Naivasha is yet another area popular for bird watching (over 400species have been recorded). It is also a favorite weekend retreat for Nairobi residents, who come here to sail, water ski and fish. There are no crocodiles in the lake as the water is too cold for them, due to altitude but there are a number of hippos.

An early Check-out morning drive to Maasai Mara National Reserve, it holds on as one of the few places left on earth where wildlife still lives comparatively undisturbed, in the numbers that once roamed the plains and forests of Africa. As the northern tip of the vast Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara hosts the spectacular seasonal migration of many thousands of Wildebeest, Zebras and attendant predators. Arrive in time for lunch then have an afternoon game drive.
